"Remote work is here to stay in Ontario — but only for some" - News Article

The premise behind the recent Toronto Star article “Remote work is here to stay in Ontario - but only for some” looks to be a realistic take on how our working habits will adjust going forward. The excerpt below provides a summary of this point of view:

Like most things, the truth about the future of work-from-home models lies somewhere between all and nothing: Many businesses across the province shifted entirely to remote work throughout the pandemic, but far fewer organizations anticipate this shift to be permanent. What is here to stay, however, is the increased presence of flexible work arrangements, particularly for certain sectors and occupations.

As our country recovers from this current health situation, the Hume Hub team looks forward to providing commercial and community space that ticks the following priority boxes:

  • Safe

  • Productive

  • Collaborative

  • Flexible

In time, our regional business centre will once again enable business leaders and entrepreneurs to solve problems in a collaborative in-person environment. We look forward to the many advancements and quality of life improvements that will occur in both Canada and beyond from this.

Our team welcomes this transition and will do our best to contribute to the business community of the South Georigan Bay region in the many months and years ahead.
